    Default Patchwork Oven Mitts

I needed to recover my 'ironing board' (a 65" x 18" length of plywood) so picked up 2 yards of the silver ironing board fabric. After completing that, I had a fair amount of fabric left over, so made these patchwork oven mitts with the ironing board fabric sandwiched between two layers of batting on each side (and made them extra long so my forearms don't get burned on the oven racks). I still have enough left to make a grill mitt, with the ironing board fabric on the exterior so I can wipe them clean after use. Thanks for looking.

    Fronts:

The backs have this fabric (same as binding):

They're sitting on the new ironing board cover.
