    Sorry I didn't mention what purpose they have. I make them for candle mats, mini place mats or for anything you might want to sit something on, they will keep the surface of your table from being scratched. They weren't made for protecting against heat or moisture.

    Thanks for the great idea. I have been saving selvages for a while. Now I know what I can use them for! You do beautiful work!
