Our son is celebrating his fifth anniversary as a police officer in Minneapolis. He loves his work, it is what he was meant to do.

To help him celebrate, I made him a black and white pillow.

    Hope you like seeing it!

I used Printed Treasures fabric to do the words on my printer

I used cat fabric for the back, as he loves cats as well as his job!

Wonderful! What a great gift idea. My son is only 17 but he also wants to be a cop, has wanted it since he was 3 and never once has he changed his mind

Yeah. A great cop pillow. I loved it and the cat back is great too. Black and white is appropriate. Thanks for sharing.

If you want to encourage him to keep thinking about a career in law enforcement, you could see if your local police ever allow a civilian to 'ride along' for part of a shift.

Or, he could do a school paper on law enforcement and interview some officers. Most departments love to do that sort of thing.

Our son did both of those as a teenager. then got a job in store security with a department store. He did a good, quiet but forceful job of catching shoplifters, and impressed the local cops with his ability. That helped when he applied to the law enforcement program at college and when he applied for the Minneapolis police academy -- some working cops were willing to say that they thought he would be good at it. And he is!

That is really, really cute. Glad to hear he loves his job and is good at it.
