Nance-ell sent me this beautiful quilt.

We talked about designs...she wanted elegant more than whimsy....she is going to use this as a lap quilt in her living room. So it has to be beautiful if it is going to be showcased in the livingroom right?

Right!

So after looking at it for awhile...I had to break it apart in my mind...I always do that it is natural for me...and then visualize how they would all come together after I broke down each space and combined the designs. I wanted those blocks to stand out more ....So I quilted plumes...vines..outlined...half circle bumps...all those things to create texture and separate from each other. I fall in love each time I finish a quilt....LOL....
But this is soft, pretty , elegant...I think it will be a nice livingroom quilt.

I quilted this using HObbs poly down batting. I quilted it freehand on my INNOVA of course.

This really appeals to me! I love the colors, the pattern and the quilting. It's very soothing looking I think.

Another masterpiece! I love the beautiful soft colors in this quilt! It almost looks like polished cotton, it seems to have a lovely sheen to it. Your quilting really enhances it (as usual!)
