After quilting this same quilt for a friend, I bought the pattern. *sigh* I absolutely love it and can't wait to get it started.

I am just getting around to finishing mine. I am working on the borders right now and was looking to see how others out there placed their pieces at the ends of the borders (since this border is done like a log cabin and pieces from one side go into the next piece.

I am in LOVE with your American flag addition!!!!!!!!!!!! My husband just retired from the Air Force and has 35 years of service. This would make my quilt so much more personal, for sure. The hose just doesn't do anything for me. Can you share how you did that flag or where I could go to get them template?

    Thanks so much for sharing!!
