    Default QOV and orphan blocks

I had a stack of the strip blocks from a QOV I made couple of years ago... found this panel in my stash. I designed this quilt on EQ8 and made using my stash. I’m going to send this to my Uncle who is a Korean War vet. My aunt just recently passed away and I hope honoring his service will lift his spirits. I’ll be taking this to LA’er on Monday... It’s 66 x 74

What a great way to use up those orphan blocks! It looks as if they were planned for this quilt. This will be appreciated.

That's a beautiful quilt. Hope your uncle thinks so too. I'm sure he will be honored that you thought of him and his service to our country. Nice job!

How nice of you to think of him at this time of sorrow. Your beautiful quilt and your gesture will surely bring him some cheer.

You have a great eye...........and a great stash LOL You designed a lovely combination to make a thoughtful tribute to your uncle, especially in his time of need and isolation. Thank him for his service and thank you for your generous spirit.
