    This is a quilt I am working on for a challenge project. It involves rail fence pattern and dots or spots. Probably stretching the rules but was fun away. Still have to add final border and quilt it.

    That is gorgeous. Could you please explain your technique for the foliage on the trees?

    The background is painted with fabric dye. The tree trunks are thread painted and there is some raw edge applique. the leaves are fabric cut up into small bits (I used a satin fabric) then placed between netting. I place that sandwich in my machine hoop and zigzag it down. Then it is cut to shape and Zigzag it to the background.

    It's gorgeous. And you have a couple of rail fences in that quilt. :wink:
