Awesome quilt. Great story. I hope others follow your lead. Sometimes you think a special needs kid isn't connecting-you just need to find the thing they can connect with. Good for you all!

Good for you! It turned out great. Nice smile on his face, too.

What a great story, and since he never quit smiling all day you can be sure he loved the quilt.

Thanks for the info ( where I asked about special talents, such as musically), I was just curious. I think it is wonderful how God so often gives special skills to some and others have to triumph to learn them. It appears that he is lucky to have a supportive family and teachers. May God continue to bless him for the special person he is.

Your grandson looks like he loved his quilt right away and you did a great job on it.

How wonderful - lessons learned from you mother were put to use for your grandson. Keeping memories alive thru 4 generations.

Sweet. Poor guy thinking you had cut up ALL his shirts..... I bet he was so pleased when he worked it out. He sounds like entertaining company! Well done for working out what would be the ideal gift for him, and being able to make it so nice!!
