    Thank you everyone for all the wonderful comments. Several of you have asked about the Hello Kitty pattern, so here it is: No pattern. What I did was search online for free Hello Kitty coloring pages. There are a lot out there. I picked simple ones and printed them out. I measured the largest then cut my background squares so the largest would fit. Then I used the coloring pages as templates for fusible applique. I did blanket stitch around the pieces, put the blocks together, sandwiched, and quilted. Viola, Hello Kitty! I've done Dora the Explorer and Betty Boop the same way. Hope this helps.
