    This started out as something else, but didn't work, so I ended up putting it together in this configuration. Just wondered if there was a name for it?

    no, but it is four patch blocks with half square triangle blocks. Call it Simply Pretty!

    It looks like a jewel box star. Meaning 4 jewel box blocks together make a star. Just an idea.

    When I first saw the top, I saw the stars but then saw the square-in-a-square and finally saw around that center square the triangle corners of the shoo-fly block.
