Red Bag from jeans

I happened upon this video and decided to make the Boston Bag. I had to order fusible batting, which I love. It took a long time because of all the seam ripping. I have lots of jeans, some with price tags still, that have become too big!!! One black pair has bling on the pockets! I've started a new one w/o seam ripping. We'll see if it works. The measurements were metric, which, I think, added to the precision. My cutting mat is only Standard. And most rulers! Now I am in need of a metric square ruler!
Also making grocery totes from these "scrap pants"! Other ideas appreciated.

Wow, that's a really professional job. And I love the red jeans.

The instructions were great. I watched it lots of times. Watch a step, do it, then watch next step. The one time I thought I could skip watching, the zipper part, I stitched it right side down! The inside pic did not load, it is lined, bound, and has 4 pockets.

What a fantastic bag! I will need to watch the video because I have a number of jeans that need recycling. Wish I had a red pair because yours looks really good! Thanks for posting.

Thanks, all! I am working on a second one from a taupe pair of jeans. What helped and saved time was NOT seam ripping as I followed directions exactly on the red bag. I decided to try cutting first 4 pieces apart instead. Worked fine-you only need squares to be 19 cm. I had to cut off metal rivets, but I was worried about sewing with them anyway. Then I stablized the front pockets by stitching around edges. Our darn power went off and the returned later--about 4 times! I decided to finish later. (today)
There are lots of steps, but they are easy.
