Careful cutting-Overcut the squares, sew the 1/2 sq (I chain pieced them) then trimed down to size. Again, being careful to cut acurate. (It wastes a bit of fabric but worth it)

Pressing the seams opposite so when you put the two together they nest. And I use the Clover "U" shaped pins. I don't remember what they are called but they hold the intersection on both sides. Love them!

The 1/4 inch foot on the machine helps a lot too. And quiting when I got tired and not as careful!

I did lose 2 points when I put the binding on. OOPS! But I didn't redo it. By then the time rush was on to get it done before he left. I should have taken it out and adjusted but........oh well!

Most of my quilts are gifts and I make them to give away so I never consider them "mine". It was harder on my DH. He thought it was too much for someone I will probably never see again. I'll just have to make another one that will stay home  Only for mine I will use flannel on the back for snuggle factor

Very nice work. You may or may not see your boss again, but many will see the quilt and the story of your generosity will live on as well as a beautiful piece of work.

Your hubby will LOVE the snuggle factor of the quilt that will stay home. :P :P :P :P
