    Default Scrap Petal Garden finished.

Been working on this pattern, it is called Scrap Petal Garden by Cabin in the Woods, this is my version. I did a few applique projects last year and loved it. I liked the idea behind this pattern, it's intent is to use scraps to cut out the petals. It finished 46x52", so a large lap size. It was fun to do and I already have plenty more petals cut and ready to go. Cabin in the Woods has video tutorials about this pattern, and she mentions a product called Terial Magic. I searched on here and found some threads about it, watched some Youtube tutorials. It eliminates the need for interfacing or stabilizer when doing applique. I really enjoyed working with it and I really like the idea that after you wash the quilt, the entire quilt is soft again.

Very pretty and looks as though it was very relaxing piecing to do. I love applique and don't do enough of it. What I have done I have mostly given as gifts. Beautiful design and a great way to use scraps.
