    Great ideas! Thanks for the pictures - these would make great charity quilts. And cutting into rectangles give lots more options than just squares.

    When you say you just winged it, do you use graph paper first to get an idea of the pattern. I just love your Scrappy style.

    Thank you! no graph paper….the first quilt I just sewed units of light patch to dark patch and then laid them out in random ways adding sashing until I liked it. The 2nd quilt, I just played with patches for one block…then decided on the shoofly for a secondary design element to get rid of the abundance of white.

    Thank you! Just go for it and copy away….I’m inspired by others so, in my opinion, there is nothing in quilting that can be proprietary.
