    Default Scrappy Granny Squares quilt

Crazycatlady posted a picture of her Granny Squares quilt and I absolutely loved her quilt. Mine, not so much, but here are my interpretations. I didn't have enough muslin to make both with muslin sashing, and don't really like the red. But some little girl will like them, I'm sure .... I hope ... they were made for the charity I sew for.

The original pattern used 2-1/2" squares and made a 9-1/4" block if I remember, but I used 3-1/2" because I had a box of them and my squares were 13-1/4". And I used my 2-1/2" WOF to made the diagonal striped border on the one on the top. Only thing I didn't like was working on the bias.

I love stash buster scrappy quilts!

Some little person will love this quilt. We are always too critical of our work aren't we?

Great job. I love the Granny Square. I am partial to the red sash as I love the bold colors but they are both great.

Both are very cute, but I think a child will prefer the one with the red sashing.
