Scrappy Quilt show - Right Here!! :)

Mine is nice in real life, but the photo I took does not show up much. You can barely tell what blocks I used, much less the fabric choices. Note the nine blocks in the center are antique replicas of working girls. They are doing laundry, baking, ironing, shopping, etc., and a white block in the very middle is for embroidery that says "The sleep of a laboring man is sweet..." (Eccl 5:12 ).
Right now I am working on a blue calico border about a foot wide that will have appliques related to the granddaughter's life--her collie dog, a deer because they live out where the deer run freely, vegetables from their garden, etc.

LOL, I usually get spelling corrections for my name, but this one will have to stay. When our first granddaughter was little, she could not say, "Grandmother," so she called me "GramMER," and it stuck. Years ago, I used to be an English teacher, so that made other people call me GramMER when they were not even kin to me! It started off as a joke, but now that is who I am. Go figure!
