    Default Selvedges Feet

Another selvedge project completed this year has been my selvedges feet. I saw a pic online, drew up my own pattern and used selvedges sewn in sections to complete each foot. Then each foot was quilted and I added binding. They measure approx 30” x 60”. Sew much fun to do.

I am going to make another set with fabric scraps.

Super cute! I have recently started saving selvages. Some are really attractive.

    So fun!

I was collecting selvages but gave them to a friend who wanted them when I was trying to clean things out. A couple of times since, I've had some nice ones that made me regret that choice, but I moved on. Then, yesterday, I was cutting one from fabric for pillowcases for grandchildren. It's MERMAIDS, is wide, and SO adorable... I kept it. We'll see how I feel about it in a week. I do not need one more thing hanging around, lol. I also cut selvage from 10 yards of fabric for a backing I was making. Batik, so a nice, tight weave. I kept thinking how nice it would work for tying things. I even looked at it in the waste basket again this morning! Good grief. I have a problem...

These feet are adorable! I need to make one (or two) for my bathroom one day. My bucket list grows.... Thanks for the inspiration!

Those would be cute for outside your shower in the bathroom. Very cute indeed.

These would definitely make nice bathmats - take an old towel and applique one on. Sew a satin stitch around the outside, then cut the edge off. Think I might try making some for gifts. Thanks for the great idea!
