Siamese Cat Flimsey

An acquaintance of mine used to breed Siamese, but had to give it up. I thought this might be some comfort. There is no pattern. The cats are raw applique using sketches from the internet. Each is a different shades of beige overpainted with dye for the iconic markings. Yes they could be darker. Her fav colours are black and red. Right now this sits at 55 inches sq. I haven't decided how to quilt this yet. Some of the cats still need whiskers etc.

The beautiful red background with window panes and the posturing of the cats made me think of pictures I've seen of Denmark's red light district. This will be a gorgeous quilt!
