Default Start of a New Project

This project is our guild challenge, All Things Great and Small, using only our stash. Luckily, I purchased the pattern from Harebrained Happenings and the material to make it and had put it away. So technically, it was in my stash--not just stash as usually defined. I just finished a Mariner's Compass inside a broken star and was anxious to finish something along different lines. There are 13 mama and baby specimens, all done in batiks. I learned a different way to do raw edge applique at the QuiltLuminarium and am applying this new knowledge. The finished project will be colorful, I hope. Two down, eleven to go. They are very time consuming and all different size blocks. Hope you enjoy.
