Oh my no, I could never do that--I am more than happy to pay someone to quilt these big ones!!

My quilter decided to stop due to back troubles, so she recommended this place--I actually asked the owner today (someone else does the quilting) if they had folks mail them quilts to be quilted, she said no,not yet. If you are interested in having this incredible woman do some for you, please email her...I'll give you her name and web address to the shop. I'm headed back there next weekend to drop two more tops off, in case anyone has any questions they want me to ask.

The shop is Carriage House Quilts: http://www.carriagehousequiltsnaples.com/index.html

And it's Diane Miller who runs the long arm in one the loft like 2nd floor. It's an amazing place. :D

Both the quilting and the quilt are beautiful. I love the bright colors. I think that is a reasonable price for quilting.

Hey Karla, the price sounds pretty reasonable to me..of course...what do I know?? Knowing the price of that varigated thread alone, it does sound reasonable though. She does a really good job, I really like the pattern on the Sunny Day quilt. I can see why you are keeping this one, its really pretty!

Oh, I checked out your quilt shop...thats a great store! I'd love to spend a long afternoon in there..(plus lots of money on fabric!) Lucky you to be able to go there.

My closest quilt shop (1 hour away) recently closed up :( The regular fabric store has ok fabrics, but not nearly as nice, nor the selection that the quilt shop had. Its very depressing

Oh, it turned out wonderful! I want to make one of these! How large are your squares and what are the final dimensions? I think that is a great deal on the quilting!

It's so pretty! I really love the daisy fabric. It looks like someone painted them with watercolours!
