Edit: I'm actually not sure that foundation piecing would be any easier, you'd still have to seperate the sleeve units from the body and skirt/pants, which still leaves an inset seam. I haven't made my own foundation patterns before though, so might not be seeing it right.

Thanks Pam and Blue Chicken for designing the pattern and sharing. I'm looking forward to making some of these blocks. I make my hubby's Western shirts and I save all scraps. Those fabrics would be perfect for the blocks.....both boys and girls. I also have some lightweight denim that was leftover from a jumper I made myself. My MIL just gave me oodles and oodles of sewing goodies. There are several tiny buttons that would be perfect for embellishing the blocks.
