Default Tofino Trail - Art Quilt

Life at the bottom of the giant Cedar.

My Landscape group chose a photo of the Tofino Trail on Vancouver Island almost a year ago. It has been on my mind all that time and at last I can put it aside. My part is finished. This will be part of a collage in at our 25th anniversary Quilt Show in May 2015.
    Enjoy.

Interesting that you chose Tofino when you live in Guelph. Did your group hike the trail before taking on this project? You've done a good job of capturing the perspective. Maybe one day I'll be lucky enough to see that kind of lizard on the trail - none so far! It looks cute on your tree.

I HAVE trekked the Tofino trail in my long vanished youth LOL. One or another of my sisters has lived in BC for close to 40 years now, I think I camped the Pacific Rim in my 20's! One our group took the photo and of all our entries for consideration, the Tofino Picture was the most liked. I've included for reference the original photo. My selection was about the top inch of the photo!!
I have a thing for trees.

Oh my that is gorgeous, I sure do hope you post the entire collage when it is completed. How long did it take you to create your portion?

Oh my, at first glance, it looked like a photo. A closer look revealed your work of art! Beautiful!
