    QM--I do have one all drafted and even completed a center rose (about 6" diameter) but my arcs kept losing points (that was on my original pattern...the new one is a professional design). But I haven't gotten back to it. I'll definitely do one someday and it will be paper-pieced. Thanks for the encouragement.

    The picture below is the finished center...I should have ironed it because it isn't lying flat. And I also see that one quarter needs to be redone. It's in my brother's colors: blue, green & browns (which also happen to be some of my favorite colors, too.)

    I'm hoping to make more time for sewing this year, so maybe the Mariner's Compass will happen before Christmas. Thanks again, QM.
