Default Update: I completed the quilt!

I asked for advise on the difficulty of a quilt I wanted to make. I appreciate the strong support and encouragement I got from everyone. I also got help from my SIL. We made a couple of test blocks that went well. I just finished the quilt top, and wanted to share the results. Of course I had to make it bigger than the QAL. (Lee Heinrich Bloom Bloom Pow quilt) It is not squared up yet, but will fit my queen size bed easily. I am hoping to piece another top to become the "bottom" and have a two sided quilt for my bed. (I always seem to have to make things hard!)

That is so very cute, a wonderful way to use that collection of fabrics. I love the combination of the circles in the fabrics with the straight lines in the blocks.

Lovely quilt, so bright and cheery! Good for you, and, yes, you do seem to take the more difficult road...but that's the challenge for all of us, right?
