Default Update on my Daddy's turnstile pinwheel Christmas quilt WIP

After being unable to quilt for the past 2 weeks (finals are terrible, btw), I finally was able to quilt for a while today and got a few things accomplished. It's starting to come together. As to if it will make it by Christmas, that's up for debate!

I'm doing this quilt as you go, so I was able to do red and green backing flannel, I plan on my quilt being 3 of these big blocks by 3 of these big blocks (with the middle big block being a large Carpenter's Star), with a top and bottom border to make it a rectangle. 3 of these blocks wide gives me the final dimensions around 84" x (84" + borders).

That's my dream too, Mandyrose! I don't know if you can see from my picture, but I only have a domestic machine too. It is really hard on my shoulders, and my wrists (these big quilts are so much harder to maneuver if you don't have a quilting machine with one of those large quilting table attachments.) Good luck on your quilt, just take it slow, allow yourself breaks every half hour to stretch your neck and shoulders, that will help.
