Hi cminor! Thank you! I love this block too. It's a Carpenter's Star. It is fairly simple to make being all squares and half squares. I had so many people interested in the pattern that I posted it on here. Here is the link if you'd care to make one.

Wow! Beautiful job! Loved looking at the pictures. Do you know where I might purchase the pattern? I keep trying to see how it is quilted, but can't tell. Did you stitch in the ditch around all those pieces?

Hi Bobbie! Thank you very much for the compliment. I made this pattern and so many people requested it that I put it on here. Here's the link to it.

Please post pictures of the ones you make. This is my all-time favorite block and I just love to see them! Thanks again.

Oh Bobbie, I forgot to tell you that it is all hand-tied with color coordinated embroidery thread. My daughter wanted it tied, but wanted the ties on each block to match each block. I put 25 ties on each of the 56 blocks! That's alot of ties! I used 72 different colors in different combinations to tie it.

OK now I got it, tie each block, I was going crazy wondering how I was gonna hand quilt each little piece, I even enlarged the pattern to a 24 inch block so I could hand quilt. LOL Thanks Brenda
