    Default Wallhanging finally finished!

This wallhanging has been two years in the making and I'm glad to finally be finished with it. My exercise in trying new techniques, I incorporated trapunto into the larger applique pieces, created fabric from snippets of yarn stitched between layers of water soluble stabilizer, added snippets of fabric to some areas of yarn fabric, and stitched yarn accents with free motion sewing. It is very unconventional and my own design. It took on a life of its own in some ways. Lol! Overall I am happy with how it turned out, and it appeared in a local quilt show this past weekend - sans quilt sleeve, thus the tucks and waves at the top. Zip ties and safety pins! Lol! It's a very non-traditional quilt, not everyone's cup of tea, and I appreciate you looking at it!

I am a traditionalist but I find you quilt very charming and beautiful. Would love to sit in the setting that you created to enjoy a good book and the warmth of the sun. Job well done !!

You did a beautiful art quilt. I would love to see close ups of the FMQ and the yarn fabric you created.
