    Default weekend wholecloth

I took everyone's tips while I practiced making wholecloth quilts, and voila, here is one I started on Saturday, and finished this afternoon.

Prep work - washed / dried and starched front and back.

I used the pounce chalk for this - Tartan, I believe it was you that commented on it the last time ... I found out that because I hadn't pounded it hard enough it wasn't blue! This is definitely blue!

And to make sure I didn't lose any chalk, I sprayed it with hairspray. Then when the hairspray was dry I starched it again. It was dicey for a second because if you "press" your iron sticks because of the hairspray. But if you "glide" it works marvelously.

Then I did more lines for filling it in.

And then I washed it and dried it and voila ... (no, the binding isn't on yet!)
