I think so. Perhaps you're having second thoughts about it because it is out of your comfort zone?

I agree, it is a quilt you want to sit and study all the fabrics!

I think yes but if she doesn't like it, I will PM you my address & you can send it to me !! LOL
Seriously, it is a beautiful quilt & it certainly should appeal to her artistic side, for sure. Beautiful job.

I'm not young nor an abstract artist, but I'm really into bright colors. Personally I don't like this combination. There isn't enough contrast between the gray background and the diamonds for my taste... but if my aunt made this for me I would treasure it forever.

Try some different lay-out arrangements, since it is not yet connected. For example, putting individual squares On Point... And have you ASKED her or shown the blocks to her? For a young artistic person, letting her participate in the creative process may be very pleasing to her, and she will give suggestions that may very well take you Out of your Comfort Zone. Perhaps she is fixed on Orange, or Purple... that would help you bring a satisfying result.

If she loves you, she will love the quilt, regardless of what it looks like! Besides, I think it is GREAT!
