I found the shoe panel of fabric in a LOVELY LQS in Hadley, Mich. The gal told me she has had the fabric for over a year and it wasn't until they hung a panel on her wall that it started selling like hotcakes. If you are interested, PM me and I might be able to get some for you. She had a few panels left. I think it was $8.99 a panel.

Your quilt is very impressive. The colors are fantastic. I would never have guessed that she is into high heels. You found a great pattern. I'm sure she will be forever thankful.

You quilt is absolutely adorable. I used to work with a gal that wore the highest heels - made my feet hurt just to look at her shoes! I love looking at high heels - but can't do them! Your GD is a lucky girl!

I think I would baste them together myself, and then quilt. That would be extra work but worth it later.
