I made this while making Sharon's signature block. Our guest bathroom is done in WVU Mountaineers so I thought this would be perfect as a wallhanging. It is hanging on the bathroom door. I sewed a sleeve on the back for the dowel rod.

What a cute idea! Is the center block embroidered or appliqued or something else?

It is embroidered. It is also quilted on the four outside rectangles on each side. I quilted scrolls on it but I don't know if you can really see them.
