Replace the boarder. All that business about adding new fabric making it no longer vintage is hooey. When my hair all fell out from chemo, then grew back....it did not make me any younger, trust me.

ROFL!! I love this, and totally agree. When my new hair grew in after chemo, it sure didn't change me or my worth... let alone my "vintage". Thanks for making me laugh and blow mtn. dew out my nose at the screen, auniqueview!! God love ya.

What a find!! Lovely! I would replace the border, but check that all the red is not becoming brittle before working too much on it? If it us - you could iron lightweight fuseable interfacing to the back of the red or all if the back.....

I would just replace the border and quilt it. It will give it more life.

Haven't completed the job yet...the person who wants it needs to decide the 'flavor' of the second border.

Bottom line - another border and quilted. It cries out to be used!
