    Default Freeze Dry

I'm intrigued with the freeze dry advertisements and wondered if anyone has the machine or has anyone experimented with freeze drying food?

My sister bought a freeze dryer and loves it! She was buying freeze dried food and found she could buy one and do her own cheaper. She can now freeze dry things she likes. And she does everything on it. She did rhubarb and canned milk for me and almond milk for a friend. It is expensive to buy the machine and it sounds like there is maintenance on it but If I had the money I would buy one. A dehydrator is great too and can do most things but freeze dried foods reconstitute easier.
