I published my recipe for making Chicken and Sausage Gumbo on my blog. I'm cooking it tonight for my sisters and our children. I am using hens because I want it to cook for a while but the recipe really is for fryer chicken....the faster version! I do include the directions for making roux, the base of the recipe and most important. Please let me know how you enjoy it.

We had chicken and sausage gumbo for our Christmas lunch. It was wonderful. Just didn't want to do a repeat of the big Thanksgiving meal. Love the idea of putting the sweet potato in the bowl with the gumbo. Love, love baked sweet potatoes!
