ok ladies, I got something I'd like to try with the 9 blocks and all, I found a pillowcase, that has small pictures of Elvis, it was more like a collage of pictures. I have cut them out in different sizes , now heres my problem. for these pieces (pictures) would it be best to sew them onto a block, then do my 9 P? as you know pillow cases are thin, as this is. I think it would be neat as a quilt, or lap quilt.
so advice appreciated before I get started.

I know I guess I could experiment and just see what would be best ,too.
I found a pattern for the tumbling blocks, now I see why one of you said for me to find something easier! wow!

I like your 9 patch pattern and layout. I am always looking for an easy pattern as my sewing group makes quilts for needy children and lap robes for a nursing home. We need simple and fast patterns. This is a lovely pattern. Funny, how I need someone else to come up with a good thought because my brain gets stumped. Thanks and yes, saving this one... (And I think the 9 patch is my very favorite pattern)

    Thanks. Julie Port Orange Florida.

    Thank you,
This has been a week of ouches. Last night a trip to the ER for some staples in my head.
My sewing room is down stairs so I am taking a break (per -order of my husband) but finding new projects to plan is Wonderful!
This looks fun and I will be sure to share it with my friends!

Great tute. The photos with sizes/numerals written on the pics makes it easy to follow. I'm going to try this one. Thanks for sharing.

Julie, after raptureready's comments I took this pattern and played with it to get it to a nice looking throw size for my Mom for Christmas. I played around with the focus fabric size a bit so that it will be a bigger "player". When I get the dimensions the way I want and actually find just the right peach and blue fabric for it I will put one together and post a tute. So far it looks good on paper we will see if it translates.

Thanks for all the kind comments on this tute. It is the first I have ever written and I hoped it would be easy to follow. What sounds simple in my head often is not when I go to write it down.
