Mine is my herd. Thinning the herd? Shudders at the thought.

I like a "chorus of Singers". For other VSMs, how about a "gather"?

Power Tools - I told DH they are my power tools that help make quilts and projects and provide therapy. About two years ago, I found a great treadle to put in my sewing room. DH immediately went to work on getting a belt for it so I could use it. By the time the belt came, I had cleaned the cabinet and set it up as a space to put my precuts and pretties. When DH said, "I thought you were going to sew on it???!!!" I replied, "And I thought you were going to use the Craftsman Router that is still in the unopened box for the last 36 years!" Nothing more to be said...

I don't understand how anyone can hate quilts.
