They had a number of machines, priced $35 - $45; the treadle was $55. no idea what they are worth but I dearly
wanted the coffin top singer - cash only and me with only $1 in my pocket and needing to get somewhere else by 2! I sadly left them, not sure if they are open tomorrow or not, or even if the prices are good ( all but the treadle move freely)

That coffin top is not a Singer. And in the shape it's in, it's not worth a whole lot more than what you had in your pocket.

Did you mean the Singer in the bentwood portable case? The Singer is a model 128 probably from the 40s or early 50s. The treadle machine looks like it might be a New Home and is a coffin top. Looks like it's in fairly rough shape.
The prices are mostly pretty decent for my market, yours might be different.
