Please Help. 1920 National needle clamp?
Hi, I have a National (De Luxe Rotary) SN: B250393 that doesn't have a needle clamp. The one that came with it was made by some one. See photo. Next picture is of the needle bar without the clamp. Could some one post a picture of the correct needle clamp? I don't know what to look for in a replacement. Thanks everyone for all your help. I love tinkering with the old machines, almost as much fun as quilting!

Here are mine (since I took them)
DH measured it, it is exactly .25, the Singer ones are just smaller enough that they won't fit.
And now I know what this funny looking item is - I've got several of them and had no idea where they went, or that they were a thread cutter LOL!!

When it warms up today I will go out to the garage and see if I have a donor machine that might have the needle clamp you need. Yes, it takes longer needles. I took my Damascus in to my OSMG after I purchased her and one of the notes he made on the service tag was "reset needle bar to use standard needles".
