Is it normal for a 15-91 to keep sewing a couple more stitches even after I've let go of the foot pedal/ knee controller? I'm just wondering if it is the weight of the machine or do I need to open up the foot controller and replace some springs? (I've cleaned the button on the controller so it's not longer sticky, that's not what is causing it.)

I don't know if it's normal or not but mine does the same thing!

There isn't a brake on these machines and that balance wheel is a flywheel. If you don't want a few more stitches, you need to back off sooner and gently.
