Some fella may buy it to use as a hood ornament on his monster truck! Can you find the sewing machine in this one?

Surely that is made to be mounted. I can't even imagine how heavy it would be.

At $1650 they should have at least repainted the body.

The scroll saw is kind of cool except one thing: This guy found a trashed sewing machine but usually you can find vintage scroll saws for the same or less than what sewing machines cost.

Vintage woodworking machines and woodworking are my other two major hobbies. Woodworking has a lot in common with sewing. In both hobbies the vintage machines often cost less than the material you feed thru them and we buy them for the same reasons. Unless you're spending thousands, the quality of the old stuff is so much better than new machines.

As for the 99 for $250,000 I don't even know what to say. Maybe Miriam is looking to retire.
I think I'm going to watch that one and see if it sells. If it does, I'll part with one of mine...

Had to show both of those to my dh. That's the way he would rather use a sewing machine than the normal way .... although he has used one a normal way come to think of it.

Oh what a waste of our treasures! Too bad they were not rescued by one of us.

Yes I am looking to retire. I just need to sell all the machines in my shop for that kind of money and I sure could retire.

I love Steampunk - It's such a hoot. Some people take it oh so seriously but I think there's a Rube Goldberg quality that incorporates humor into Steampunk. Some of it is downright nasty but mostly it's a lot of fun - except at that price.
