Default Wheeler & Wilson #8--Latest in Shopping Spree

    Hi,

Two machines in two weeks is quite a bit for me--must be Spring Fever. Davis Edison Electric last week and a Wheeler and Wilson #8 yesterday only 10 miles away for $80. I believe she dates from 1885-1887 or 8, the last year of manufacture before the #9. The bobbin case has a patent of Aug 1885. Lots of neat stuff in the drawers. Not pictured is the 12(!) 400 yd rolls of white crocheting cotton. She's in real good shape and should be up and sewing before the arrival of the bluebirds and daffodils.

Ditto! They are worth their weight in gold, or maybe more. Guard them with your life!

I am jealous. Absolutely a treasure trove. I've never seen a wrench like that.

Very nice! That's the oldest safety pin I've ever seen. The other stuff is pretty cool too.

The attachments are really neat. I ended up with a set of them by accident, and I was a bit tempted to find a machine to go with. But they are heading to CA to meet up with a machine there. That is as soon as I finish going through the rest of my "junk". Though I'm almost through it all. I know I ended up with feet with three different purchases, and this box came with a Singer 27, but it is a plain WW box.

Here is the set for the WW9, with the fancy box
