Some of us do our own woodwork to refinish cabinets. Skip (Glenn, here on the board) is the absolute BEST!! He's always willing to help and answer questions, but unfortunately, he can't be on the board 24/7, and sometimes I don't want to wait for an answer!

Anyway, I found this article on Wax Protection for Furniture, and it had some interesting things in it. For years, we've been told that Lemon Oil was the thing to use...this article dispels that theory! It tells that "lemon oil" is actually kerosene!

Thanks Charlee. I'm about to start the refurb on the treadle cabinet that came with the Cleveland. This will be the first cabinet refinish and I want to do it right the first time.
