For $7.50? if nothing else I would've gotten it just for display purposes even if it didn't work.

Default Miss Nonda:

First of all, let me say hello to everyone as I'm new to the board. I've been reading the Quilting Board for quite some time now, working up the courage to jump off and make that first quilt. I did stick my toe in the water with a raggy quilt for a friend's grandson, and now I'm ready to tackle one for my daughter. I used to skip the Vintage Machine section (I know... shame on me!), but then I started reading it and now want a vintage machine! My mom has a Bruce automatic ?? treadle that I want to get redone, but that is another post.
My long way around to say that I noticed you live in central OK. I live about an hour NW of Tulsa. If no one else takes you up on your offer, I'd be willing to come get them. I've been looking at vintage machines and the prices are CRAZY. I looked at one yesterday in front of an antique store in Collinsville that was a Singer 31-15 (might be backwards on that. I've slept since then.) that looked like it had been spray painted, no decals, and in a treadle cabinet in really poor shape.. didn't even have the drawers! The electric cord was cut and only had the foot that was on the machine. They wanted $250 for it. It would be worth my gas, time, and whatever you wanted for them to get your machines versus buying one off CL or from a store. I'm not a big fan of going to yard sales, but I may have to start.....

Newbie Quilter~

If you would like to make that trip, I would be glad for you to have them! I just don't have room for them, but couldn't stand to see them being thrown away! Which direction would you be coming? Down the turnpike or I-35? I will meet you somewhere

You rock!!
If you are close to OKC, the turnpike is closer for me. If it is OK, I'll PM you later for directions and date. Would this weekend be OK?.... best get back to work!
