That's a nice little machine. All machines need oil. They just tell the consumer they don't need to oil, but to bring it into the shop for a "service" occasionally -- which is cleaning and oiling and adjusting, done by the tech. I think you can take off the front plate to get in to everything that needs cleaning and oiling. Oh, and oil what's inside the left side door. I can't remember for sure, but I think this one might have a wick system inside, with a reservoir at the very top, and a hole to fill it.

Hi, I was wondering if you gave that babylock 5280E serger a try and did you liked it? I am purchasing a serger for a charity project so I don't want to spend a lot, but want something that works fairly well. Would you recommend buying this? There is one on ebay for $95?
Thanks
