Bobbin Winder Trouble 328K
The bobbin winder on my Singer 328K isn't quite right. The first problem is that the winder doesn't stay down against the wheel, I have to hold it down or it moves up, stopping the winding process. Does anyone know of a fix? The second problem is that it will be going along nicely and then the thread pops out of the tension thingy. I have to unwind from the winder post and wind it back on the spool and then re-thread it under the tension disc at least twice when winding a bobbin.

Sarabela,
Behind the hand wheel there is a screw that holds the bobbin winder in place. This screw is also the part that controls the amount of resistance to movement of the winder. You'll need to remove the hand wheel then tighten the screw a wee bit. This should take care of the problem. But don't get it too tight or the bobbin winder won't disengage when the bobbins full.
To keep the thread from popping out of the winder tension gently hold your finger on the spool of thread so there's a bit of tension to it. This will also help the thread wind better.
