so far I have 11 rusted pieces of junk. The price was beyond fair.

Ooo it was alot of work today.. I opened every case and cabinet, having to move each machine every time to get enough room for the next one. of course the case bottoms are falling apart

There's a lot of the white colored 60 / 70's. and the same in the wrinkled brown/s that wards sold. whites and national's. streamliner type. There's more in the bathroom and bedroom

I guess I should show the case the pink brother is in. O ya the pink 3/4 kenmore is running just fine now.

I think that Kenmore is a long bobbin machine. IIRC, it's the last long bobbin machine Kenmore sold. That Brother Festival is the same model I posted on the giggles thread the other day. I'd love to have one of those in my collection, but don't know if I'd want it to use it. I think it's one that has plastic gears in it, it's a 70's machine. It might be a good one, might not, without ever having one I can't be positive. But it's PINK!! All in all, I think you did good.

yep the kenmore is a long bobbin VS,

The brother 461 the feed dogs are not moving front to back. I just did searching, found the broken gear thing.

Plus with a dial turned to #4 it doing a long clicking. that sounds like it's in the column/pillar

from what I read the color is coral on both. Ooooooooooo a HOT pink tractor.

Wonderful treasure hunt, thanks for letting us tag along :-) ! To be continued, I assume.... You didn't say how Fred reacted when you approached him about the sewing machines. Is he a little relieved to know you will do your best to save some of the machines?

What a great rescue!! The pink machines are so much fun! Love them both!! Thanks for sharing & showing the pics - will be definitely following to see how it works out.

Finding machines in such a situation and then restoring is such an amazing journey!! DH just shakes his head when I go 'hunting' and find a poor neglected item that is just calling out for help.
