Default Buying tools

I recently read on this forum a post by a person who planned on buying tools such as a router, scroll saw and other tools to use in restoring sewing machine cacinets..

To that person, I would say unless you had planned to buy these tools anyway for other uses, I would instead, buy a Dremel kit with lots of accessories. I have all the "big" tools and I have not used them once in my restoration of my cabinet. I have, however, used my Dremel tool many times, for grinding off rust, it has a small cut-off blade that I use a lot and for polishing, you can't beat it. If you are wanting to do routing, you can buy a small stand that holds the tool and buy small router bits that are used in small work.

I'm not that person, but thank you that is a great suggestion!! The "big" tools are so intimidating, to someone like me. I'm just becoming familiar with power tools, and how to use them safely.
