Default CROWN 770 Serial # FZ9042545

Few days ago I tried to post some photos of my friend's machine she's had/ purchased in 1956 in New York. I have found absolutely nothing on this machine. Sorry for the not so great photo. It is in the original cabinet. The serial number was located on the base of the machine. Have found no other numbers other than 770. I have Googled and Ask.com I'm about ready to gag. Any information would be appreciated. The other photos had so much more glare, they just about blinded me as if driving into bright lights. Thanks for any help. I did go to the LQS an showed photos to them. The owner thought it was possibly a Riccar badge. The only thing that really came close was Lion Crown out of England. Maybe?~!@#$%^&

I tried to take the photos off the computer. Only way I could post. All others have blinding glare!

And another thing the owner of this machine has never used the cams. Still in original package. But she can't find the manual.

If you're using a PC, look around on your keyboard to see if there is a "Print Screen" or "Prt Scr" key. Plinking that will copy what is on your screen onto your PCs "clipboard". Then use whatever image software ("Paint" in Microsoft) that your PC has, open it, and hit "Paste". Then you can usually crop the image to cut out just the part of the screen that you want to include in the photo, and save the new photo in some folder on your PC.

Well since the Crown emblem is all over it. Do you have any idea where else I can check the information on it? I'll try what you suggested. Thanks!

On the lower right of the pillar is a badge that might say "Precision De Luxe". I've seen photos of the same machine in a variety of colors under a variety of names, but many say Precision De Luxe. Perhaps that is the makers mark to do a search under?

It is a Japanese badged machine. Here is a copy of a generic manual. For disks you are on your own. http://www.dontai.com/wp/images/imperial-535-manual.pdf

Looks similar to a White badged De Luxe Zig Zag sewing machine I sold recently, though that one didn't take cams.

About all you can do is look at manuals for Deluxe Zig Zag machines and see if there is one that looks like your friend's machine.
