Do you know anything about Jones machines?
I was given one recently and in order to get a manual and start tracking down the correct belt, I need to know what model it is. Is there a Jones fan on here that might be able to help me out? I cant upload pics to this board but if you will PM me your email address, I will be glad to send you pics to look at.... And yes, I've tried identifying it myself online but it's just all very confusing And the brand doesn't even exist any more, so the resources seem limited. Thanks for any help from anybody!!!!

Hello Teacherbailey
Well, I'm old enough to remember the brand name! Grew up with Mother peddling away on her old Singer treadle machine and Stepfather later converted one into a Fretsaw Machine for his wooden crafts - I remember him making jigsaws of newspaper cuttings of the Queen's Wedding, jewellery caskets and wooden toys! I often see old machines in Good Samaritan secondhand stores so will keep a lookout and ask my local sewing machine repair man. Model No would help. Why can't you upload photos of the machine here?

Check if your machine name is listed under Jones in the link included above.
Also try
http://www.sewmuse.co.uk/Jones%20Family%20C.S.htm
For example this online statement:
The easiest way to confirm if your badged machine is a Jones C.S. is to look for the large screw head on top of the arm between the two spool pins.
On search for my machine, patent date matches the imprint on the bobbin cover plate too.
Hope this helps you
