I don't have a Singer hand crank machine but I do have a Brother hand crank. I taught my 6yr old GD how to sew with it.

I have 3 hand cranks, a 28K, 128K and a Jones Family CS.
I also have the original hand crank attachment that I can use on either my 99K or 15K.
These are all awesome machines.
I love my HC's, as I live in South Africa, and power outages can happen.

if one wants more options, Singer handcranks can fit some more complex machines too.

Hello All, I am looking for a spoked wheel and hand crank for my third Singer 99. I would like this one to be portable without electric. Have scanned internet extensively. Are there an members here with spare parts?

I will have one next week. I just bought one off Ebay. I have several treadles to choose from but it seemed like it would be nice to have a hand crank too. I was going to turn one of my existing machines into a hand crank, then just decided to buy one instead. I'll have a better idea of how they work and whether or not I want more hand cranks.

Hello Leonf, would you know of any spare hand cranks or spoked wheels in your area? I am trying to find original parts instead of overseas new replacement. Want to crank my 1924 Singer 99 in bentwood case. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Aardvarq, contact Cindy Peters of stitchesintime, as you are in the States.
Cindy will be able to assist and she is extremely helpful.
I got my long bobbins from her and she shipped to South Africa.

aardvarq, I have no leads on vintage cranks. I have a place where sometimes I can find vintage wheels, but they are always kept outside to rust and it is 70 miles away. They aren't good on the phone either.

Vintage hand cranks for Singers are hard to come by. If you see one they go between $50 to $80. They are in high demand. They go for more on Ebay and they sell fast. I have only seen one original in an antique store and they wanted $90.00 for it. Good luck on finding an original.
